Getting neck ties, Special Edition DVDs, Deodorants and colognes as gifts has made me boring. Hence for this time I decided to be more creative and get my Dad something really exciting for his birthday this year. As you would have already guessed by this time, I started surfing the internet for some cool gifts to be given this time. I love the internet! Most of my great ideas are from landing on some website offering up some information on something I never would have thought of on my own.
My friend had told me several times about Viagogo.co.uk and I didn’t get a chance to know about it. Hence I thought of going to this site this time. That’s when it hit me; why not take my Dad to a cool concert or some comedy shows to keep him away from tensions and work pressure? I was wondering why I didn’t think of this before. After entering the website, I instantly saw at least 10 shows and events I know I want to check out. Now it’s narrowing it down to which one to choose for my Dad’s birthday. He loves sports, but he’s real passion is for music. If it was my choice, I think I’d be looking at the Enigma, Linkin Park or Coldplay tickets. But, to be fair, I don’t really think any of them are at the top of my Dad’s list, he’s a little old school. Instead, I think it’s probably between the Stevie Wonder Tickets or maybe even the Tina Turner Tickets. This is really going to be tough!
I have to say though, Tina Turner still knows how to seriously rock out. I can just see my Dad jumping up and down when Tina busts out with “What’s Love Got To Do With It” and “We Don’t Need Another Hero”. Both classic tunes! I actually have her album, “Private Dancer” and it comes with exclusive UK bonus tracks. I love “Don’t Rush the Good Things”. Wow, this is really a tough choice.
On second thought, my Dad really could use a laugh. Even you can get the stand up comedian, Steve Coogan Tickets at viagogo. That guy is a riot! I heard his new tour is called “Steve Coogan Is Alan Partridge and Other Less Successful Characters”. I remember when he created Alan Partridge back in the late 90’s. My Dad still talks about the TV show, I’m Alan Partridge. A couple of tickets to see him might just be the best choice. Dinner, drinks and a great show… sounds like I can’t go wrong!
