Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Contrary to what the medical profession apparently believes, and wants you to believe, this terrible affliction need not end in disaster. It can, in fact, be prevented and even reversed, and I have seen this happen many times. An excellent diet, of course, is absolutely essential, with special emphasis on getting enough first class protein. MS typically affects women during their reproductive years, and it is associated with hormone imbalances. Natural progesterone (not the fake ones frequently cautioned against in this book) is crucial, as is thyroid supplementation, and they will help to repair and maintain the myelin sheaths that deteriorate in MS. An early diagnosis helps: by the time a patient is wheelchair-bound, recovery is slow. Be warned – artificial sweeteners, combined with polyunsaturated fats and oils, are a major cause of MS. Quitting these can reverse symptoms, if caught early enough.
